Life size monopoly game1/11/2024 I had my eye on acquiring Park Lane – would we land on it? And if we did would we rise up to the challenge? All this is simultaneously daunting and exciting.Įspecially so are stealth-based escape-style rooms and challenges that must be solved to acquire the property we land on, assuming it hasn’t already been snapped up. Monopoly Lifesized is exactly that: a huge monopoly board with big dice – the size of footballs – the human tokens (ours was the racing car), community chests where money could be won, and the prospect of jail. I am in the game itself, a game created by the Path Entertainment Group, whose mission is to create experiential experiences. It’s a memory that has longevity and still leaves me feeling miffed.Ī couple (ok three) decades later, I find myself playing Monopoly again, but this time it’s immersive. Then, at a throw of a die, it is all lost to the dastardly smug Mayfair and Charing Cross owners – mostly in rent. It’s a buzz that, other than the real thing, only the iconic Monopoly board game emulates.Īll that rent, all that colourful Monopoly money, the prestige a joy to this little girl’s competitive streak. Shadows cast from street lighting and neon signs across an unmistakable skyline, the City Board will give you an exhilarating night time adventure while you snap up some of London’s most iconic city streets.Imagine being 13 years old and owning hotels on Park Lane. Take to the streets of modern day London and get a whistle stop tour of all that this wonderful city has to offer! If you roll right, you’ll get the chance to dance the night away on the Strand, perform in the orchestra of a musical at the theatre on Tottenham Court Road, or even get to grips with the teddies at the toy shop on Regents Street. Perhaps you’ll get an opportunity to ring the bells on Whitechapel Road, solve a newspaper crossword on Fleet Street, or crack the enigma codes in Whitehall? With recognisable motifs such as property deed cards acting as the entrances to the challenge rooms and houses and hotels donning the walls, the classic board offers the closest experience to stepping onto the Monopoly board itself. The Classic Board and its challenges serve as an homage to Monopoly and the history of the properties available to purchase. Gold trim, marble floors, and wood panelling, playing the Luxury Board will allow you to embrace the higher end of Monopoly life. You may not always be on the receiving end – perhaps you’re working in the Monopoly Starred Kitchen in Bow Street, or trying to talk your way into First Class at Waterloo – but sometimes you’ll be bidding for art from the auction house on Bond Street, or winning big at the casinos of Coventry Street. See behind the scenes of Mr Monopoly’s bank and get a taste of the finer things in life. Know someone who always has to be the banker? Fairly sure they’re slipping themselves the odd M50 here and there? Maybe it’s time to bring them to the Luxury Board to see how Mr Monopoly does it. The gameplay on each board works in exactly the same way (no extra rules to learn!) but the themes and challenges differ giving you the chance to come back and compete again. There are 4 exciting Monopoly Lifesized boards to choose from when you book your tickets. This includes, loud music / noises, flashing lights, timed-rounds, group participation and intimate spaces. Our attraction is an interactive, immersive experience that uses a range of effects throughout. The challenges will be a mixture of physical and mental puzzles and games that will test players’ skills and lateral thinking, and will be themed appropriately for the square, featuring either some historical or current day relationship with that part of London. Each property square will have a full-sized location specific room behind it that players enter to participate in a challenge to ‘acquire’ that particular property. – leading them around the game, taking scores, and giving hints where required. Each team will have their own personal Monopoly Token –, Scottie Dog, Boot, Racing Car, etc. Each board can host between 8 and 24 people split into 4 teams, all playing against each other. Monopoly Lifesized is a phsyical, immersive edition of the world's favourite board game.Įach 80-minute game is played on a 15m x 15m board, featuring 8 Properties, 2 Utility Companies, 2 Train Stations, Jail, Free Parking, Go, and Just Visiting.
